Ricky Dolinsky

Beverage Director

Ricky Dolinsky is the Beverage Director of The View, a restaurant, bar, and lounge on the 47th and 48th floors of the New York Marriott Marquis. Dolinsky developed a love of food and hospitality at a young age from working at his parents’ Taiwanese restaurant, Lin’s, in Morristown, New Jersey. In 2012, he moved to New York City to pursue a culinary career and at just 19 years old he was named chef de cuisine at Fatta Cuckoo in the Lower East Side. In 2014, he decided to transition to mixology and began working at the Catskill Distillery in Bethel, NY as an in-house mixologist where he ran the bar program and developed cocktails with spirits made on-site.

In 2016, Ricky moved back to NYC to work as the mixologist for Rotisserie Georgette in the Upper East Side where he met his now wife, Mariia. In 2018, the husband-and-wife duo opened their own Eastern European restaurant, Tzarevna, in the Lower East Side. In 2022, they closed Tzarevna and opened a new Western Japanese-inspired pop-up restaurant in the same space called, Yo+Shoku. Later that year, they added a speakeasy in the space named Paper Planes, which blended Eastern and Western flavors into innovative craft cocktails. Mariia and Ricky closed their operations at the end of 2023 and the following year, Ricky became the opening beverage director for Koi Bar, a speakeasy in National Sawdust, a historic music hall in Williamsburg.

With his vast culinary and beverage background, Ricky has competed on Chopped, Beat Bobby Flay, and won Throwdown with Michael Symon in 2021. In his new role at The View, Ricky is excited to breathe new life into a legacy space and create a cocktail menu that serves as a love letter to NYC.
